The Hotel Medici Florence is just a few steps from Brunelleschi’s
Dome and Giotto’s Bell tower right in the historical centre.
It is situated on Via de Medici number 6 which you will see, by
clicking on the map below, is in the centre of three of the most
important squares in Florence: Piazza della Repubblica, historically
known as the most central point in Florence and built on an old
Roman forum; Piazza del Duomo, home to the magnificent Dome and
Bell tower and where one can visit the famous bronze doors of the
Baptistry; and Piazza della Signoría, the most atmospheric
of the squares with its cafes and open air sculpture museum.

How to Get Here
If you are arriving by train then the main station in Florence
is called Santa Maria Novella. A taxi should take no more than five
minutes and cost about €20, alternatively. It is very straightforward
and only about a fifteen minute walk down Via delle Belle Donne
(literally, the street of the beautiful women), left onto Via del
Corso and finally left again onto Vie de Medici.
If you have a lot of luggage then you can get a taxi, the taxi
rank is right outside the train station. The Hotel Medici has a
luggage custody service so on the day of your departure you can
safely leave your luggage at the hotel while continuing to explore
Florence.
If you are arriving by car then you can go directly to the hotel
as they have a pick-up and delivery parking service. You will not
need your car whilst visiting Florence, as the city centre and all
its delights are concentrated in a very small area.
There is a shuttle service from both Florence and Pisa airport
which drops you off right by the main train station. If you prefer
to avoid all the hassle and stress then why not let us do the work
for you and consider our very own shuttle service. You can do this
by clicking on booking extras when booking
online. |
